Fabrizio Boscaglia (Turin, 1981). Research Fellow. Doctor in Philosophy from the University of Lisbon, with a dissertation titled “A presença árabe-islâmica em Fernando Pessoa” [The Arab-Islamic presence in Fernando Pessoa]. Master in Psychology from the University of Turin. Member of the Area of Science of Religions at the Lusófona University of Lisbon. Member of the Center of Philosophy at the University of Lisbon. Coordinator of the Research Projects “Islamic Heritage in Portugal” and “Islamic Heritage and Spirituality” at the Lusófona University of Lisbon.

His main research interests are: the thought and work of Fernando Pessoa; the Arab and Islamic themes in contemporary Portuguese thought and literature. He teaches at the Master Degree in Science of Religions at the Lusófona University of Lisbon. He authored several conferences, books and articles in international scientific journals, in Portugal, Italy, Spain and USA, on authors such as Fernando Pessoa, Teixeira de Pascoaes, Almada Negreiros, Agostinho da Silva, Jorge Luis Borges, Friederich Nietzsche, Ibn ‘Arabī, among others. In 2008 e 2009, he integrated the team who digitized the private library of Fernando Pessoa, at the Fernando Pessoa House. In 2016, he was guest editor of the special issue on “Orient and Orientalism” of Pessoa Plural – a Journal of Fernando Pessoa Studies (Brown University, USA). He is the coordinator of touristic-literary projects about Fernando Pessoa, in the city of Lisbon, in colaboration with Airbnb.
